February, in Milan, is a signatory to the manifesto Manifesto del Realismo di pittori e scultori (Oltre Guernica).
October 1st, the “Nuova Secessione Italiana” is founded, subsequently “Fronte Nuovo delle Arti”, with a manifesto drafted by Giuseppe Marchiori. Proclaiming a shared acknowledgment of the moral responsibilities of the artist, but without any specific a priori aesthetic.
In the same year, meets Guglielmo Achille Cavellini, who launches his career as a collector with an exhibition of works by Vedova and Santomaso in his house in Brescia.
